I went to visit my mom, and she comes and hands me this old balisong knife and tells me she thought it was mine, and it had been on top of the refrigerator for a long time.
I had forgotten all about this thing, I spent many an hour with this piece of hot garbage when I was in the SCCU NTF unit (for those of you who don't know, that is the Shopping Center Commando Unit- Ninja Task Force) 😂
It has a broken pin so it's ninja hunting days have ended, but it brings back a lot of memories.

Had the same one. Wonder what happened to it.

The blade tip looks like it was used to clean out a smoking pipe on occasion.....

I'd replace the pin, polish the handle and blade, sharpen it, and relive the 80s a bit!
I thought about trying to repair it, but I still have an old Parker Japan balisong that was an upgrade, so I can flip it if I get the urge, but really don't care much for them anymore as I stick to either modern folders or traditionals more often. I remember back then Benchmade was just starting out as a maker of high end Balisong knives. Who would have guessed they would have gotten as big as they are now.

You'd be surprised at what that old Pakistan Bali would sell for, since you're a gold member I'll tell you. In great condition I've seen them fetch $120. Not joking. Yours is worth at least $50 -75 even with the tip issue. Not bad for your initial $6 investment, eh?
Probably nostalgia driving the price but people will pay that for them. They're rarer than you'd think because most came apart and were used by young teen boys who aren't exactly known for taking great care of stuff.
