took my 3.5 daughter on her first overnighter... and it cold snapped to 27degrees...

well some of u have seen my tyke rockin it fishin in the canoe and diggin the outdoors, but life got busy and other than training runs in the living room her first trip kept getting pushed back... last weekend i went to the TBOF, trad bowhunters of FL, state shoot, a two day trad 3-d shoot...

a week b4 i left the ex asked me if i was taking my little monkey with me.. i said why not.. the cold snap should be gone by then and her grandpa will be there too... i was not shooting the comp this year but was going to hit up the fun range... same difficulty just shorter and no "winner."

the weather man said the second cold snap would clear by thursday... it did not.. that kid toughed out record low temps of 27degrees without complaint... of course i forgot the camera.. she tried to kill some fish with me in the canoe... made her first smore.. shot her first bow (with grampa promply gave to her, she then informed me that we would be painting it pink and purple) and rolled on through temps in the 30's the second night... she thought it was awesome that her little purple tent fits inside my big tent... she even zipped it up at night " to keep the bugs out daddy" when she was that cold and that serious i didnt have heart to point out that her little tent did not have a bottom zipper... lol

when asked if she wants to go again the reply is " yes daddy, when...?"

grins... some things dont even need pictures... proud pappa here..

Great news! I too am looking forward to taking my little one on her first overnight.

My oldest daughter just turned 3, I can imagine the cuteness of her saying that, gotta love the little people. :D

Great man! I'm looking forward to taking my four-year-old daughter on her first over niter this year. I think I am going to do a couple in a tent in the woods out back first though, just to let us get a feel for it lol

Yeah, much like married is a Latin term for "never gets to take a crap in peace again"

Very nice man. don't forget your camera again those memories should be cherished.
I regret many times not bringing mine on trips.

Awesome time. I can imagine how much fun you must have had. My boy's first camping trip was around 2.5 years old and he can't wait to go again.
