Took the truck into town today to get some muffler work...was gonna be a couple hours so I grabbed my 'pack and truck-pole (cheapish fishin rig I keep in my truck all the time JIC) and hiked over to nearby Mammoth Spring State Park to idle my time with a lil fishin.

Its a pretty place, been coming here since I was born, have spent a lot of time enjoying the lil park.

Was a fine way to kill some time, enjoyed the perfect day after a nasty weekend of high winds. No fish but I wasn't hitting the water too hard, just havin some fun Beckerhead style.

sweet pics. I love those impromptu outings where you just have the outdoors and time to kill. nice pics.

I really wanted to whip the Beast out and whack on some wood...but I was afeared I'd give some tourist from Omaha or somewhere a heart-attack...wouldn't have made any of the locals bat an eyelash.

Good use of time and great pix TB. While I'm down here, I like the new sig too!

That looks way better then where I spent my time today while the car was at the dealer. getting some maintenance taken care of.

nice area

i usually just put a becker in the stream, edge aligned so that fish just run into it, and filet themselves, washed clean, and float over to my plate

Ive been to Roaring River but I dont think I have been to that one.
