I spent a week truck-camping with my daughter before she heads back for university. No backpack meant no weight limit, so I could bring a nice trio of CRK knives. I love to have one of my Bark River knives along when I’m out in the bush, but decided to make this trip a ‘pure CRK’ trip for fun. All the knives performed well as always. Kindling, food prep, etc.

Some poser shots for fun:

Yes I did stab all these knives through this tire. I like figuring out if the knife ‘tests’ you see in YouTube videos are actually possible.

I’m not much of a whittler, but made an attempt at a sea lion using my Sebenza.

That’s all folks. Hope everyone had a nice summer.

is that a hollow handle?!

It doesn’t get any better than that. Have you looked at the backpacker yet ???

Yeah, I’ve had a good look at that. I’m sure it gonna be a nice knife. With the lead times I’m on the sidelines about buying one. I’d like one, but maybe not willing to wait a year+ to get one.

I should add, in case some people new to CRK are looking at this post, that the knives are a CRK Pacific, a CRK Mountaineer 1, and a Large Sebenza 21 with Micarta inlays.

I’ve used all of these knives extensively over many years and will vouch for the functionality and durability of all these designs. Very well built knives.

Yes it is. It’s a “Mountaineer 1”, which is part of the discontinued OPK (One Piece Knives) line up from CRK.
Never saw That knife before......I don't know how practical it is, but it has lots of Old School charm!!! :D

The OPKs are really nice. Very functional and impressive bits of machining. The blade on my Mountaineer holds a great edge, which always impresses me, as I assume that properly heat treating a knife that is all one piece must be challenging. The only downside to the OPKs is that they are a little heavy for what they are, but the extra weight is kinda nice in a way too.
