So I had the day off(finally!) and no real responsibilities and decided it was a good time to take my newest toys out for a spin. Attending the days events were my 6, 9 & 2.

On the way back to the house I passed my hawk target. I had to throw something at it and since the 2 is touted as a good all around knife, I figured why not a thrower? Now, I don't condone doing this, but I had to. It stuck first time from about 12 feet away.

This is what happens when you throw a BK2. Hard tempered knives are not meant to be throw, microfractures develop after just one throw, and I'm not joking. The BK2 is a tough ass knife, and my favorite, but they can be broken. In Ethan's recollection, there have only been 2 broken BK2's, throwing done both of them. Soapbox dismounted. :D

Amen! Although in my defense, I wasn't gonna throw my 6 or 9, that's just crazy! Seriously though, don't throw your Beckers ! (Sorry Uncle E!) I am putting lanyards on all three of these knives, it would help control a little bit . When I was chopping the cedar with the 9 it would have been pretty beneficial.

Im still pleasantly surprised at the weight of the PM everytime I handle it. It's very effective, and just so dang light! I've thought about putting some spacers behind the handles though, it's just a little small for my grip(the knife). The 2, well there can be volumes written on it's ruggedness and just how stout it is. I'm glad I remembered to grab it out of my pack before I headed up the hill and I'm now looking for a carry option for it.

Love to see user pics. A Patrol machete would be of help right now, just had a large tree drop in my backyard. Almost smashed my pool. Although I got through it with ease with a Condor Bolo.

Ouch! Yeah, I heard y'all got some bad weather that way. I definitely recommend picking one up!

I really thought this thread was going to be about something else. :p Nice patrol machete.
