I often wonder just how much longer Maisy is gonna be able to do hikes such as the one we did today but for an older dog she still does pretty good !
The climb to the top took me about an hour at a moderate pace but much of the trail is gnarly as in this pic:

At least on a clear day the views make the slog up worth it !

And the good thing about this hike is that there is always a pool of water for the dogs to cool off in at the top, even after the very dry spell we have just had !

I was going to take a small necker today but I'm still finding it hard to leave this one in the drawer !

Cooled and refreshed the old girl was soon telling me to get my ass in gear and set off back down !
