Tool dip?

A friend gave me a can of this stuff last week called tool dip. It is a rubberized coating used to coat tool handles, and comes in different colors.

I don't own any skeletonized Busses, but that was all I could think of when I was checking this stuff out.

Has anyone ever tried this stuff on their knives?

I'm sure that stripper would remove it quite easily, and you could change the color of your handle anytime you wanted. The nice sticky grip sounds useful.

Thanks,
Randy

I'm sure someone stripped the handle off their SAR5, paracord wrapped it then tool-dipped it. From what I remember it worked pretty well.

I'm looking at buying some tool dip to try out on the handle of a cheap knife i've got. I'll be interested to see if it bonds to the micarta handles and how easy it is to remove.

I've used it on ,,,imagine this,,,tools. When grips wear out that stuff works excellent,,,,, I'm sure it would do well for knife handles as well. It bonds well to metal and what was left of a rubberized grip,,,, I would imagine it would work on micarta too,,,,,just never tried it.

Hey man, it does work. I have some and use it on tools. I'm planning on using it on my swamp warden, but haven't got around to it. I'll post pics when I get it done.
