Hey Bladeforums,
I got a PM2 M390 blue sprint run from Bento today. The knife is absolutely beautiful, perfectly centered, razor sharp, and otherwise pristine. I have grown quite fond of it. Owning this for a single day has slightly shifted my preference for carrying Benchmades back to Spyderco. I'm absolutely certain it will be my primary EDC.
My concern/question is this however - other than being an otherwise splitting ideal image of perfection, it has a distinct tool mark along the back edge of the Spydie hole. Does this mean my knife is a second or my warranty is voided? I cannot find any notching anywhere, and the choil and back edge of the blade is completely untouched. I just want to know if this is an issue I should pursue with Bentos or Spyderco or if I can go about my business quite happily and still be covered.
Also curious if I can somehow polish the tool mark off the inside of the Spydiehole? Although that might be a bit of a daunting task.
Thanks for your help and input.
