Tool rust prevention

Well after a few years of drought and low humidity (at least for Florida) the moisture is back! My tools, especially the files are beginning to rust.
I sprayed them with WD-40 but would one of the sprays with silicone be better. WD-40 is more of a cleaner than a lubricant, I suppose a spray oil would be more effective. I'd like to hear what everybody else uses.-Guy Thomas
