Hey all,I thought I'd share some pics.(everyone likes pics,right?)
I went up to my favorite camp last sunday to play with some of my tools.
Then went for a little hike to check out a big old rock outcropping.
The pics aren't the best, but at least they're outdoors & in the woods.
The tools...(pics in the feather stick thread)

Somebody was hungry.

I found this smaller log tore up just before I found the pile in the next pic.
Amazing how the ants chewed it up & left the intricate walls.

And after a big meal......ahhh thats better..:D

Here's Iron Creek,it's down the road by another of my favorite camp sites.

After toolin' around camp I drove up the FS road to check out one of the rock formations that are all over out there.
I had to walk up a closed logging road then follow a deer trail to get to the rock.
I found this feather on the way.(I love it when Ma Nature leaves me little gifts.):)

Cool lookin' dead tree.It had sap oozing out around the base & roots, good fatwood if needed.

The easy side of the rock.

The not so easy side.

Love the different lichen growing all over the rocks.

And the view...See the other rock just right of center.Big ol' towering thing.
My brother & I hiked out to it a few years ago from the camp.
There's a small & very smelly cave in it.

I had my versipack on,but would have been better off with 2 shoulder straps while scrambling around the rock,
the dang thing kept sliding around to my front & getting in the way.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed the little outing,I sure did.
There's nothing like a little nature to satisfy the soul.........

I need to go hiking with you Bro

Great Cutkery and Countryside as well

Thanks for posting

Love the pics. You have a very awesome place to hike and camp in.
Plenty of great tools to work with too.

Thanks Nobody, that's an 01 clip point bush knife by Adam Grey,AA Forge here on the makers forums.

Great stuff buddy and I thought my two knives or so that I take was overkill, LOL !!!:D

Do ya have a favourite outta that bunch ?

Hey Pit,I don't get out quite as much as you,so when I do I like to take plenty of toys to play with.;)
My favorite?Hummmmmm, damn,I like them all,but did sell one & have one for sale,so obviously they are my least favorite.
I just got the FB bushie & it is one awesome knife,so I'll pick it for now,but I do love the Wohlwend too,
both are good no nonsense working knives.
Not that the others aren't,but those two have impressed me the most for all around camp work.
The Scrap Yard War Dog has impressed me too,but without a full tang it takes a back seat to the full tangers.
And the Busse Muk will be in my pack for hunting season, along with...................
one of the others.
And I always have a SAK in pocket too.

Great pics man and some killer knives there!

Thanks Chris.Tennessee has some great scenery & knifes also, love the smoky mtns.
