Tooling help with Meander or Carlos border tool

Hey folks, wondering if anyone knows of a good tutorial on using the Meander/Carlos border tool. Been playing around off and on for a few months now, and my stuff still looks like the south end of a northbound mule.

I'm working on one right now as well as one on rough out sheaths. Be a little bit though. I'm taking pics as I'm working on a batch of sheaths right now. 68 sheaths in this batch so its taking a few days. Hoping to have them done by the end of the week and then a couple three days to go through the pics and get er wrote.
 
Thanks for the reply Dave. Can't seem to wrap my head around the spacing. Your work has inspired me to push my own to the next level.
