I am looking for a kit or a list of tools such as torx drivers and hex drivers, and basically anything to use on a knife. I have a variety of knives that often need tightening, repairing, or just fiddling around with. I am having trouble finding the right set of tools in order to complete the duties I want on my knives.

This is what I use (Husky 6-piece Torx set). 8 Torx sizes, on double-ended bits. It works well, and can be found at Home Depot for about $6.00. They also have an equivalent set with standard bits (slotted & phillips):

I've got a screwdriver set I bought at a local (national) hardware store, that has various size of torx bits, philips, flat heads, etc... that and a good set of hex keys serves what I need for working on my blades.

sorry for the six-month resurrection, but was going to posit this question and thought i'd search and post in this thread... luckily, i remembered that i had a acquired two driver/bit sets for electronics building and laptop disassembly:

Wiha 71991 Bits Collector with Security Bits, 39 Piece Set
Wiha 75992 System 4 Precision Interchangeable Bit Set, Torx, Slotted, Phillips, Hex Inch, ESD Safe Precision Handle, 27 Piece In Compact Box

these work well for me... however, there is a hardened steel set (more expensive at ~$70):

Wiha 75996 Master Technician Micro Bit Set, ESD Safe, 40 Piece

Advanced Auto stores have a set with all that including the phillips head and standard slot, plus all the torx and hex with driver and flex driver for $6.00.

I got a set of bits and a driver at Wal-mart for around 5 bucks. It has 10 torx bits, some allens, phillips, and lots of flatheads. I also keep in my kit Loc-tite, Super glue, oil, Q-tips, and a cloth.

Here's what I use:

Benchmade's Blue Box torx driver set (2 each of T6, T8, T10 bits and a handle that provides much more leverage than a simple twist driver can)
Wooden popsickle sticks and toothpicks (helps in disassembling and cleaning without scratching metal)
Benchmade Blue lube (awesome stuff, cleans anything and lubricates)
A quality pair of grippy needle nose hobby pliers (once in awhile something goes wrong and you're going to need to twist something)
Leather CS4 (mainly use it for the quality flatheads, also has pliers)
