Are spacers made like parallel rulers that can be locked at a designated size?
Does anyone know what the rifle cleaning rod threaded joint is called. The male to female flush joint. I'd like to make a larger rod for holding my abrasives. A 3/4" hime joint bushed down to the rod size gives plenty side to side movement.

Thanks onlyshado

Not sure what you mean by "spacers", but there are many woodworking and drafting tools that fit your description. Tell us what you want them to do.

The joints you are wanting are sold for making pool ques and walking cane/sticks, as well as flag poles. Many woodworking suppliers like Rockler and Woodcraft (and I am sure Amazon) carry them. Uniloc/Uni-Loc is one brand that is very precise. They even come in G-10. The ones for walking sticks and canes are called cane couplers.
