I collect Toon knives made by Argel Toon and would like to meet other Toon collectors.

Toon died long before this forum was established. I don't think you'll find a lot of people who even know who he is.
Closest thing I have is this folding hunter made by Toons apprentice, Cliff Polk.

Thanks for your reply.
Yep; Argel Toon died in 1977.
Clif Polk died December 7, 2018. I knew Clif and have several of his knives. My favorites were his automatics. Your knife is a dandy. Clif clearly surpassed his master.
You are correct that younger collectors will not know Toon, but, hopefully, a few older guys will and contact me.

Wow. Never heard of these knives before but that Polk knife looks like it has real class and precision. I wonder - pre-internet - how would anybody know about a specialized knife like this? How would you buy it? From a magazine ad?

Those look like mine...
I think I still have his catalog of knives he made. I will have to look for it.
Maybe I got id from Polk.

I just realized, Toon used an eighth note symbol shield as does maker Alexander Noot (Netherlands). Toon and Noot are palindromes.
You're welcome.
