I love the design of the tiny toothpick but when I use it my hands cramp up and getting to hurting so bad it sends pains clear up my arm.

So what I want to know besides being 2" longer is the Case 5" Texas Toothpick as skinny?

Comparsion photos of them side by side would be great. Thanks everyone.

If the Cases don't pan out for you Ash, check out a GEC toothpick. 4" long and feels great in the hand. Just a thought! ;)

Keith is it skinny? I think the width around the toothpick is what's hurting my hand so bad. My Spyderco delica and enduras don't make my hands hurt at all, but I love traditional knives more then any others.

I'm not a big fan of toothpicks (generally) but I will admit to being pretty intrigued by the GEC (Northifield/Tidioute) versions.

From the images and descriptions, I think that might fill the bill nicely. I think the size is right too.

i dont think its the thickness as much as the width of the knife. trying to grip a thinner handled knife as opposed to a skinny knife, my hand tires easily. a fuller handled grip[as with my sodbuster] fills the depth of my fingers better. my smaller skinnier knives, not so much.but i use a differant hand hold on the smaller knives. more with my thumb and my first 2 to 3 fingers. with my first finger on the back of the blade.

I've never handled a Case, or any other brand of toothpick, so I have no basis for comparison with the GEC. Also, I wouldn't know a Spyderco if it bit me in the *** !!! (Don't they have holes in the blades, or something?) ;)

Seriously, I've never been a fan of toothpicks, but the GEC is very un-toothpick-like IMHO. They have a nice meaty feel in the hand - not skinny feeling at all.

I like the medium Case Toothpick. I've never held the GEC, but I can tell from pics that it has a wider, more full handle than the Case's.

Since I lack both adequate lighting and photographic skill, you're in no danger of getting good pictures from me at this time of night, but maybe these will help.

Thank you so much for the photo. I think I'll buy a GEC toothpick and large case toothpick to see which I like best. That is when money (the root of all evil :grumpy:) allows. ;)

The Case large toothpick is a square cross-section, the GEC is much more oval. The Case seems much thinner and the GEC more full. It feels much better in the hand.

I have both, but no pictures...yet.
