ToothPicks - Who Likes Them

Just picked up a Remington Powderhorn Toothpick (5"). I have always loved these type of knives. When I was a kid I had a couple of the cheap "tinny" ones mostly for fishing but they quickly rusted and fell apart. There is something elegant about the ToothPick - whilst considered a large folder it is easily slim enough for the pocket. I like the long slim blade which is suitable for slicing esp. sausage, tomatoes and breadrolls. To me there is something "old world" about the ToothPick reminiscent of French and Spanish folders. They have never been popular here in Oz and have been hard to get esp. those of quality.

Funny you should mention this. I usually favor knives 3" or less for most things. But I have had my eye on the Queen Toothpick with D2 blade. I too really like the flowing lines of this style of knife. Elegant and functional.

The toothpick is one of my favorite "traditional" patterns. Now if only some one would make a QUALITY toothpick with a 2 1/2" - 2 3/4" blade.......

I love the toothpick design also. A Case Texas Toothpick was my first slipjoint I ever bought. Great knife that i carried a lot, even though I had all the newer "high Tech" Knives.

Tarsier I have been thinking about one of those Queen D2's myself. Have been playing around with a D2 Rabbit Hunter from Queen - once you get the edge right it's a beauty.

lol, I got one of those Queen's in my last order from knifecenter. Must be the bladefoums hive mind at work :D

Love 'em! I don't own any unfortunately, but one day I will get my hands on some. Nice large blade, excellent slicer.

It's definitely one of my favorite traditional patterns. Long and slim blades like that have a certain elegance to them.
