What are the hardest to find models?
What are the most sought after models?
Your view appreciated.
regards,Rick.

i would say one of the harder ones is the Ti ATR it was never easy to find even when they first came out, and expensive to boot MSRP ~$300. one of the very best though imho, certainly my fav spyderco of all.

another one hard to find is the gunting, disco'd now but still in demand.

another is the alemite or aluminum handle police, and the carbon fibre civilian, probably all civvys for that matter, and matriarchs also.

I think the Jess Horns should be on the list.

From the bidding on ebay recently, PE Harpy's command alot of attention from a small group.

I have been trying to find a PE Left-Hand Harpy for years. I've only seen a pic of one and corresponded with it's owner (he wouldn't sell). They were made in the beginning of the Harpy production and dropped early-on.
My collection cannot be complete without this, so the search continues.

PE Harpy
--the last one I saw on ebay went for about 155.00. I've PE Merlins and variations of the Merlin, but I've never gotten the PE harpy in the collection
Some others for the list may be

Q's--can be found in any variation, but command a notable price

Flatiron--very rare, some dealers have said they have seen only one in a decade. I've yet to even see a pic of one.

Keys

Civilian, tuff-ram, PE

PE worker isnt easy to locate or a early production Military w/ the grooves on the front and back of the blade near the pivot. a G-10 police model without the police engraving(only 200 of those)

The Titanium Peter Herbst I believe will be one of the biggest prizes ever in another 2 years or so. They are getting about as rare as a hen's tooth now. The Plain edge Spyderhawk is getting really tough to find. The original Meerkat made in Golden Colorado made with 440c is really tough to find. The Gray Matriarch is also a prize. The 2 screw Worker that Deacon talks about is a super find if you can find one. The C-14 Stainless handled Rescue is a tough one to find but like the original Meerkat no one seems to give a hoot about it ( at least for now anyway  ). The list is getting bigger as time goes by.

Large PE micarta Calypso.
Took me a couple years to track down mine.
