IYO what are the Top 5 Commercial/Production Fixed Bladed Knives of all time? Mine are:
  1. Marbles Ideal - set the standard.
  2. Schrade Sharpfiner - innovative design.
  3. Buck BU-119 - followed on from the Ideal.
  4. Cold Steel Master Hunter - the "plain jane" workhorse.
  5. A Tie - Spyderco Moran Upswept the pretiest knife and Buck Strider Solution the ugliest.

From large to small...

Busse Mr. MoFo
Fehrman Peacemaker
Simonich Urban Raven
Simonich Crowfoot
Simonich Talonite Bitterroot

Going on what I have and have used, these are mine:

1. Fehrman Final Judgement
2. Fallkniven A1
3. Spyderco SPOT
4. Busse SteelHeart (don't own it yet, but I like their design)
5. Fehrman Cold Fury (will own soon)

1. Benchmade Nimravus (New Design)
2. Chris Reeve Project I
3. Ka-Bar USMC
4. Swamp Rat Battle Rat
5. Ontario RTAK

Randall #14 - 8"
CRK Jereboam 2
Busse Battle Mistress
SRKW Ratweiler
Gerber Mark 2
RAT7 D2
BK7

1. Original USMC Kabar
2. Schrade Sharpfinger
3. Buck Special
4. Swedish Mora Knife
5. Any one of the original Puma's in "Pumaster" carbon steel

For sheer H/D use, number one is obvious -
1) BK&T BK9
2) SOG Tigershark, the original, in SK5
3) Warner/Moran Rio Grande
4) Swamp Rat Battle Rat
5) A.G. Russell 1965 Camp Knife
5B) Cold Steel SRK
5C) Gerber MKII
5D) Buck 124 "Frontiersman"
5E) SOG Tech
5F) Iron Mountain Knives, the original "Beaver" pattern skinner

Interesing responses although I wouldn't consider Randalls and Simonich etc as commercial/production knives IMO they belong in the Custom stable. I did consider the Kabar USMC but as the Marbles Ideal was the first in this design I left it out.

1. Himalayan Imports 18" AK
2. CS Trailmaster
3. Busse Steelheart
4. Mora
5. Buck Vanguard

Weighted toward large knives, I know...

1. Gerber Mark 1 (My favorite)
2. Cold Steel SRK (Tough as can be)
3. SOG SEAL Pup (Takes a wicked edge)
4. Al Mar Operator (A lethal weapon)
5. Camillus Pilot Knife (Throw away knife w/great ergonomics)

Large to small - These are my current favorite production knives. I am not saying they are the best there is.

1. Busse Battle Mistress E (As modified by Bill Seigle)
2. Swamp Rat Camp Tramp
3. Busse Desert Natural Outlaw (ZT blade thickness)
4. Bark River Knives Montana Guide
5. Falkniven F1

Now if you go to customs then that would be a whole different list.
