Hey. I've spent some time lately admiring my Mora's. Namely, admiring how they seem to be the only knives I own that I can actually sharpen worth a damn. So now I'm thinking that I want more single-bevel goodness in my life, thus I'm asking you fine folks what you consider the top 5 best scandinavian-ground knives and, briefly, why.

My only experience with a scandi is my Charles May orange handled scandi Trace.
I didn't think I would like a scandi grind, but I like this one and see the usefullness for one in the field.

In addition to many Moras, I have a Helle Symfoni and 3 EnZos. While the Helle is the sharpest blade I own, the EnZos are, by far, my favorites. THe blades are ground flawlessly, and the bead blasted finish is superb.

BIG HAND SCANDI

I purchased a Big Hand Scandi from Charlie for my father and another one for a good friend. Both this grind and Charlie's flat grind knives are excellent pieces of workmanship and offer superior utility. I would highly encourage anyone interested in a Scandi grind to check out Charlie's knives at the link below.

Full Length 8 3/4"
Blade Length 4 1/16"
Blade Material Crucible's 5/32" D2 @60Rc
Handle Material Desert Ironwood
Bolsters/Guard Mosaic Pins/White Liners

I also personally own the HogNose in D2 with his standard flat grind and ironwood. Its a fast handling little skinner that's a pleasure to work with on any skinning job.
