Anyone have a 4" folder, non-serrated, that is one of your favorite choices
for serious work, or as a tactical folder?? :)

I have to agree, I just got two of 'em! VERY tactital and tough as nails. Scary, and FAST. (I also have two waved Enduras, coming in at a close second)

Benchmade 710 or 710HS
Benchmade 805
Benchmade 806D2

The 710 and the 806 AFCK should be easy to find, they are still in full production. The 805 TSEK is discontinued but if you keep your eyes open you might be able to come up with one. All three of these knives are great and you won't be dissapointed.

BM710, BM806D2 if you want something with a more secure grip. I prefer the BM710 as it has the same blade length, but a shorter handle and carries better for me.

710 was my EDC for about 4 years, now I'm carring a BM Doug Ritter Grip as it's slightly more sheeple friendly and I enjoy the blade shape over the BM710's blade shape.

Buck 560C. Light in my pocket, thanks to titanium, but still huge and beefy. I've never, ever had a knife that was so amazingly sharp. Actually, it's still the sharpest knife I own and I've never sharpened it. Oh, and I bought it eight years ago.
Use two hands to close it, so that your fingers remain connected to you. Just too much effort on that back lock to close. On the other hand, I imagine that's a ridiculously hardcore lock.
The feel of that knife is fantastic when open, but without a notch on the blade to flick it open, it requires two hands for this also.
