I have been giving thus serious thought recently. It is challenging to find a blade for about 50.00 to 75.00 that "feels" substantial yet is low profile enough to not easily be noticed as a"bulge" when carrying in a belt.
So far, I am thinking of ESEE, Rat 4,
Spyderco Bill Moran, and maybe? An Anza

What do you think?

I've been carrying a BRKT Bravo Necker 2. That's 3.5", skeletonized, although you can make your own handle scales like I did, or buy their micarta ones. I carry mine horizontally along the back of my belt, and barely notice it's there. CS has a few offerings that are nice and low profile. BK11 and 14 are both 3.5" blades. Spyderco mule team might be a good choice as well. The other Spydie fixed blades have kinda fat handles. I wouldn't say they're very discreet. IIRC ESEE 4 is also fairly heavy, if that matters, at 7.4 oz.

I carry my ESEE 4 around all different ways.
Orange/ green - I call it the "pumpkin stabber."
I think it is the perfect sized fixed blade for CC.
Great halloween knife.

I carry a RAT (now ESEE) 3 for edc a lot and i love it, its very slim, light and just legal in my state.

I like Spyderco Bill Moran. Have both drop point and up-swept versions.
Certainly they are not suitable for abuse. But I do not buy knives to abuse - so it works for me.

I am wearing my Becker BK11 Becker necker daily..... also really like the Tops Tom Brown scout..... rides discreetly on belt.... across front.... really nice knife..

Thanks to all. What is the Izula II like compared to the original?

Half inch longer handle and full canvas micarta slabs. Original Izula would probably conceal a little better though.

The scrapyard scapivore is purty cool (you guys are probably getting tired of me talking about it huh?)

Your choice of like six or seven coatings and for 10 dollars more, You can get some kydex pants to go along with it. Plus the sr-101 (52100) steel they use on it is terrific.

Eskabar BK14 fits into your price range, and still have some left over to dress it up with some micarta scales.

I liked the longer blade length than the Izulas offer.

I've been front pocket pocket carrying the Eskabar with good success for the last couple of weeks and love it. The neck carry method didn't work for me personally, but is also doable. I wear my shirts tucked in, so I didn't want to go with an iwb method.

The ESEE 3 is another to consider and is my latest in my pocket carry rotation. So far the ESEE 3 is doable but pushing the limits to completely conceal.

It's also a bit out of the price range you mentioned, but man is it nice.

I still keep a small folder on me for times when the sheeple may freak out.

Ill chime in with another vote fot the EsKabar! I freaking love mine & carry it a lot! Great low profile sheath, handle options, great flat-ground, drop-point blade, no real flaws as far as my tasted go, at least. I usualylt carry it on my belt, horizontally, or in a back pocket, paired with a folder on my front right pocket & I'm good to go.
