Top Dog vs Latosa

I know both men but hav't heard yet.
I'm sure if it's a reality it will play out at the next gathering in the park.
IMHO

Is this a rumour, or a fictional idea? I ´m very interested. Where did you hear about it (if it´s a rumour)?

I heard it from a Pekiti-Tirsia guy in
Sweden.
Just wanted to see if there was anybody in USA who had heard about it.

Tamishigiri, I read the quotes in your signature and I thought you might like this one.

Was at The Gathering today and no such match occured.

Any one that knows Eric, knows that he wouldn't issue challenges such as. Eric is a very nice guy, who, as far as I know is very humble about his skills, and always wanting to learn, even from those whose skills are lower than his own. I would figure that in a stickfight, it takes two to learn, and it's just that.

Can we put this rumor to rest?

I learned under Rene and he was challenged when I first studied under him. He wasn't interested then and now, heck he's having fun in semi-retirement teaching seminars.

This might have been a possible misunderstanding from an old Eskrima Digest post where Marc Denny asked about Rene. FWIW, my other teacher Cedric Concon met before he was Top Dog during a stickfighting tourney. The Snakey Stick idea being Eric's signature.

There were about 30 fights and it lasted from 11:30 to about 1:15 PM.

Some broken hands alot of Purple contact marks on Thighs, Chest, Neck, Back and Sides.
A fighter named gregory got his hand pretty banged up probably fractured metacarpal(s) at the least. I was the only one who brought instant Ice Packs.

Started out w/ customary Dagger warm up then transitioned into single stick. There were some good Jiu Jitsu techniques used after the initial Blast and close. really enjoyed and all fighters had alot of Heart
and Balls.
