I imagine there have to be past similar threads, but I figured I'd resurrect the question and see what folks have to say.

My top five?

1. Big blade
2. Scissors
3. Saw
4. Bottle opener
5. Can opener

When I think about it, I don't use the screwdrivers as much, though they're nice to have when I need them. Especially a variety of regular and Phillips.

Your top five?

I'm a maintenance director so this is a hard one for me:
1. Philips
2. Flathead
3. scissors
4. knife
5. serrated blade

For work:
1. Welder? Does that count?
2. Cutting Torch Oxy-Propane
3. Cresent Wrench
4. Chipping Hammer
5. 4" Angle Grinder

For Play:
1. EDC Folding Knife
2. Hatchet
3. Multitool (screwdrivers, pliers, etc)
4. Fixed Blade
5. Bottle Opener

Well those work too, but I meant top five tools on a multi-tool. :p

ahh i see :D Well i that case...
1. Large Blade
2. Screw Driver-Flat
3. Pliers
4. Wire Stripper
5. Screw Driver-Philips

This is a bit hard, but from trying to remember my last week for instance, it would be:

1. Combi-tool
2. Phillips (must be an end phillips)
3. Large blade
4. Awl
5. Corkscrew

It's hard to pass up on scissors and pliers, but those are the five I think. We need a top ten, at least, for me. Then I'd add:

6. Pliers (with wire cutters)
7. Scissors
8. File
9. 5mm Allen wrench
10. Tweezers

I think that covers most of my uses. That's why I carry a Spirit Plus at the moment (I put combi-tool above, because it's a tie between all the stuff the can opener and the cap lifter tools do). I want to make a Waiter Plus, as that and the Spirit would cover almost everything I do.

The top five I use the most.

1. Small Blade
2. Scissors
3. Nail File
4. Tweezers
5. Large Blade

1. Pliers
2. Philips Screwdriver
3. Flat Screwdriver
4. Large Knife
5. Awl

Depends if you carry in the woods or in the city. In the city one of my top five tools has to be a corkscrew, I like taking dates on picnics and drinking wine. In the wilderness, has to be a saw, has many important uses. Have no need for either outside of their repsective enviorments though.

My EDC SAK is a SuperTinker (at least until my +B Yeoman arrives), so all my most-commonly used tools are on it. :D

1. Scissors
2. Main blade
3. "T" Philips
4. Flathead screwdriver
5. Can opener/"li'l screwdriver"

1. Bottle opener
2. Large blade
3. Needle nose pliers
4. Phillips screwdriver
5. Flat screwdriver\scraper\prier

In order of most used
1.Knife
2.SAK combo tool (canopener/bottleopener)
3.Scissors
4.Toothpick!
(yes i do use it quite often, its great for picking lint and dirt out of folders and its occasionally used for the teeth as well).

5.Corkscrew (with micro screwdriver)

if this was a "ten" list then i would add
6.Saw
7.Pliers
8.SAK Hook(like the one on the Compact with the nail file on back)
9.Awl
10.File
