What is everybody's recommendation for a knife under $40?

Stipulations:Folding knife, 4.5 in blade or less, good for every day use and abuse.

Thank you to all who help me out!

Keshaw everything......also spyderco persistence tenacious ect. There's some good crkts to....

RAT 1, Boker Trance, Like 9blades said anything kershaw is great. if you would want to add ten bucks you could get a Spyderco Delica for $50ish

A lot of Bucks:

Vantage Select or Avid, difference in steel and handle materials. Also large vs. small.
110 or 110 ecolite (7.2 oz vs 4.1 oz)
301 Stockman
303 Cadet
309 Companion

Kershaw has several offerings in that price range. Also as mentioned there is the Rat 1 from Ontario and the Spyderco Tenacious/Resilience. If you look around you can find the Ontario Utilitac II for about 40.

Case Sodbuster
Douk-Douk
Opinel
(and I still gotta mention Mora, even though it isn't a folder I love them)

Kershaw comes to mind for low cost quality folders.
Leek
Scallion
Oso Sweet
Cryo
Zing ----All are great!

You might be able to get a Spyderco Dragonfly for around $40 bucks. Tenacious for sure!

SOG, CRKT, and Cold Steel... it's hard to say. They all have some great knives, but alot of bad ones too. Kinda hit or miss. Stick with Kershaw for high value folders.

Got an Ontario Utilitac II 8902 today for 29.00. Not bad at all for the price. Sexy too.

The Utilitac 8902 is far sexier than the Rat-1 but the Rat is a proven workhorse.

Spyderco Resilience/Tenacious/Persistence/Ambitious
Enlan EL-01
Many of those Kershaw blems from Kershaw Guy.
