Jeff, I am glad you like the pen. And It uses cross refills. To put in the refill you merely pull the pen apart, when you pull the pen apart if you are not careful the gold ring in the middle will fly across the room and hit the wife in the head, which is very funny, but she don't thing so, hehehehe. And then the ring is hard to find. You know, now that I think of it maybe that is what that indention in the back of Marti's head is. I always thought it was an eye she used to catch me when she thought I didn't think she was looking, hehehehe. And the metal parts are 22ct. gold plated. If any of you guys are interested in making some, They are EZ to make if you have a lathe.
