Right now I've got the Anaconda 9 and a Busse Battle Mistress side by side on the table. I really can't make up my mind which one I like better. Both are equally well made although I do prefer the Anaconda's linen micarta grip panels to the coarser canvas ones on the BM. It's a bit thicker and feels better in my hand.
There was a nice note from Helene and Mike Fuller in the package.
Both knives are about the same length, thickness, and weight. I am unfamiliar with all of the history behind it, but it would seem that the Anaconda is intended to compete directly with the BM. Perhaps the most striking differences are the asymmetrical edge on the BM and the tanto point on the Anaconda, but each knife strongly reminds me of the other. I'm probably not going to use these knives on anything harder than chicken and lamb.
The only thing I don't like is the Kydex scabbard. It's form-fitted to the knife and is obviously very functional, but I'm going to see if I can find a leather sheath to replace it (I've already done this for the BM).
Awaiting the Puma Scout from CDNN...
