what in ur guys opinion is a better knife? i have experience with Ontario and like them, but never a tops knifes how is there quality and durability?

what is a better knife for clearing brush and what not?

While you're in that price range (~$200), look up the Swamp Rat Rodent 9. It's a beast.

I have many Ontario's & 2 Tops. I have not broken any of them. (except the 3 M7 bayonets while i was in the US Army) I have batoned with all of them. They all needed to be sharpened IMHO. After i did, they all will shave paper & hair, even after some light batoning. Anything can & will break if some common sense is not used.
