Hi everyone. I was very excited today to receive my very first $100+ knife, a Tops B.O.B Fieldcraft knife with black micarta scales. So far I love everything about this knife except the stupid bow drill holes in the scales. They sit right where the pad of my pinky finger rests and it's annoying. Has anyone replaced their scales? I tried to take mine off today, but I couldn't figure out how to separate the scales from the bullet puller/lanyard hole and I didn't want to force anything and break it.
Has anyone else had this issue? If so, what did you do? I can't find any aftermarket scale options and I'm not sure what other options I have other than get used to it...but to be honest for what I paid I want something that feels really good in my hands and I don't have to get used to.
