i already have an izula and becker necker but after purchasing a crkt minimalist recently i really like a neck knife with a handle made for finger gripping :). no need to mention the eskabar as ive decided not to go that route as i like the bottle opener on the bk11.

the other one ive been eyeballing is the bark river bravo necker but ive already decided to buy that too haha :D

yeah ive been bit by the neck knife bug...

i have no idea... poor lashing point and not for weight reduction. maybe cause whoever designed it just thought it looked cool.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "finger gripping", but if I were in the market for a neck knife and I already had what you have, I'd be taking a serious look at the Swamp Rat Swamp Warden (while they're still available from the factory) and the Fehrman Thru-Hiker.

kind of hard to explain to be honest... and i just said finger gripping cause i dont think theres any term for it. basically it drew my attention cause looking for something with a narrow handle like the crkt minimalist :)

lol there seems to be no tops love in general...
they have so many models but so little feedback its kind of funny

ehhh i may just go for it, its 1095 and i can score it for under $70... how can i really lose?

I like your idea about the Bark River Bravo Necker, the Iraq-Jaq not so much. I think the holes are for lashing on little green plastic soldiers so they can ride on the spine through some ultra-extreme covert mission without falling off or they could just be for asthetics.

As far as neck knives go, have you considered a Murray Carter?

haha like your green army man idea... i may post of a pic of that when i get it :)

ive seen his stuff and watched a few of his videos on youtube. im honestly done with knives that cost over $100 though. not because i dont believe in them, but only because the misses would kill me on spending that amount on a single knife lol.

im satisfied with the neck knives i have but like all of us on here we are all constantly searching for that "next" knife to purchase :D

i'll keep you guys posted when it arrives.

I tell you what I love about TOPS....best names in the business.

Baghdad Box Cutter? Grim Ripper? Devil's Elbow? Priceless!

And "Cockpit Commander" never fails to make me giggle.

Those names are very amusing and I have to admit I have come close to pulling the trigger on some Tops before. I have had my eye on the the Tom Brown Tracker & Scout for some time.

I have a couple of small Tops knives (the Scalpel and another one I can't remember the name, perhaps wolf, pup, or some other lupine). The knives are just fine, have no complaints about them. The spine tends to be thicker than one would expect. Cut well, sharp easily, sturdy, well finished. Good quality for the price. I would expect the iraq-jac to be the same...

The holes on top are used for a cord to pass through then you can swing the knife edge out if you find your self surrounded. Just swing it like a sling.

brainssssssssssssssss

i actually own this thing now and imo its stock is too thick to be considered a neck knife... its more of a neck prybar/anchor.
cuts as well as the tops tracker ;)

Check out the black jack necker. My favorite of all my neckers, though to be fair I don't have an usual that everyone seems to love.

I have the tops key b I love it. This one is too thick for me at 3/16". Also I feel the ricasso is a little big.
