I read a review for the steel eagle a few days ago, and they actually didn't say very good things about it. What really shocked me was the sawing test with the serrated edge. They said that some of the serrations broke off!!. I know there are a lot of TOPS fans here so if you could please comment on the case. I really like their knives (especially the Armageddon and the steel eagle) and it would be a shame if such cool knives were made in poor quality.

I don't like this part of the TOPS warranty:
"Fixed Blade Knives are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the Original Purchaser ONLY."

Compare this to the Fehrman warranty:
"Fehrman Knives are Guaranteed not to fail… for life."

I'm not sure the serrations are designed for sawing wood.

My buddy busted the the tip off of his Steel Eagle and Tops reground the knife and made him a new sheath to fit the knife for free.

As far as the teeth go there would have had to have been a problem with the steel for them to snap off from sawing wood.
