Tops M1 SubCompact Scales

Has anyone on here tried to remove the scales on a Tops M1 SubCompact? I'm thinking of buying one for a neck knife but I think the scales are to thick for me to wear under a t-shirt. I'm wanting to pull the scales & paracord wrap the grip frame area. Just curious if anyone has tried...it looks like rivets hold them on.

Ya know, as many Tops knives as I have owned (a lot), I have never taken the scales off of any of them. That's odd because I usually take em off at some point on most knives I own. Sorry I couldn't be of help to you.

Try sending Tops an email and ask them, or give them a call. Last time I had a problem with a tops knife I called them and spoke to a gentleman named Mike Fuller I believe. I also think he is the owner! Anyway, he was very nice, answered all of my questions, and solved the problem I had. Don't hesitate to ask. They will let you know.
