I am narrowing down my next knife purchase, and I noticed the TOPS Mil SPIE 3.5 for sale on one of my favorite online vendors website. The blade is what I like the most about this knife, but I have mixed feelings about the aluminum handle. I have had a few cheap aluminum handled knives in the past and they have biased my opinion for now.
The design as a whole looks like a decent utilitarian folder, and its from a brand I have not tried yet (I want to try brands other than ZT, BM, and Spyderco). The only bad things I have heard online is that this knife can be hard to open (counter arguement: it is easy if opened a certain way) and that the aluminum handle has no traction when slippery.
Any thoughts or personal experiances? Is it worth $140 or should I save $50 more and get an Emerson (CQC 15 is on my want list)?
