Tops Overlander?

I'm also very interested in reviews or information about this knife. I've been looking at this one for a long time, but can't find much info about it.

Looks like a decent blade!

I don't have this one, but I own several TOPS and they're all great knives. This one is on my list though, it look's like a user to me like all TOPS I've got. If you get it before me...:) write us a review. Cheers!!!

Wrong question worng place Maybe:confused:
Seriously nobody knows anything about this knife?
I'm completely baffled by the result

Thank you

I've been leary about tops for years now since I purchased a few early on, when the company was starting out that had some serious defects in manufacturing. They have gotten better over time. But still the price is really steep. Take a look at that steel, and the price tag that goes with it? come on. Have you checked out fox river's knives? It seems to me they are are expanding more and more, and there new stuff looks great. Some it even starting to wander over into the "tactical" range in my opinion. Do a little more shopping around I think. There are alot better fixed blades available out there for the price you have to pay for that tops.

I like the specs .1095 ,3/16ththick it looks like a very good bushcraft knife although a bit expensive. Tops knives are very well made but some are a bit cheesy. This one looks pretty good though. If it shows up for 99$ I would pick one up. I might try to find a used one in a few months.

Well made but overpriced and very poor cutters without serious re-profiling, why bother when you can get a Barkie or FK thats perfect for outdoors stuff right out of the box

TOPS are really heavy duty knives but I think 3/16" is too thick for ordinary "outdoor camping utility type work" that you're looking for. If it were thinner, maybe 1/8", it would be a nice choice and probably be sharper out of the box.

Benchmade has nice fixed blades, Bark River has a lot of great ones, and there are Ka-Bar and Ontario bargains out there. Entrek makes knives as solid as TOPS but they will slice. Unless you're going into rough country, look around before you're sure you want the sharpened prybars.

I hate to be putting them down like this -- they do make fine knives. But at that weight, they are specialized. The one thing I find I really don't like about TOPS is that spring steel clip on an otherwise decent sheath. :(

Hey Kurodrago, if you're still into TOPS after all the bashing...:) have you consider the Pasayten??? 5" blade, 1/8" thick and made of 154cm it's a great knife for bushcraft but by all means get them off e-bay, they're almost half price most of the time...and by the way all my TOPS are scarry sharp but as mentioned above there is a bit of work involve in it. Hope this help ...Cheers!!!

Let us know how it works out!

I Will!

I really like this design and I stick on the first rule, not to carry what you don't like.
Of course they are better knives out there like Bravo1 ecc...but it will cost me twice the price of the Overlander.

One Special thanks to everyone!

I hope that I can do little Review on this knife.

THANK YOU

Iv'e been looking at the Overlander as well so hurry up with that review bro !!!!

Someone mentioned on another thread that the Overlander is Hollow ground ?
TOPS don't usually make knives with Hollow grinds so can anyone confirm if this is or isn't ?

I don't own any Tops knives, but after playing around at the Tops table at a local gun show, the Pasayten was definitely the only one I'd actually want to take to the woods. It was an excellent camp knife design, really nice.
