TOPS Pasayten Lite Traveler

I am curious what you guys think of TOPS knives in general also.

I just purchased a wolf pup from them and really like it. It's not the sharpest production knife, (I'm sure that can be fixed with some time on the sharpmaker) but I love everything else about it.

From my understanding, TOPS knives are top notch (no pun intended) and tough as nails.

Any owners of the Pasayten have anything to chime in about? I'm interested in this for a hiking/camping knife that I don't have to worry about, as in tough.

The Pasayten was never intended to be the toughest kid on the block. It was designed to be a useful general purpose cutting tool for real world campers and hikers. Mike Fuller told me that the U.S Forest Service considered adopting it for official use but dropped the idea because of the cost. They wanted something like a $20 knife.

The pasayten always makes me think of a big version of the BRKT Foxriver.
