The knife has so far been utilized for trenching to make a snow anchor to attach a repelling rope, pried up ice blocks in the Chilean mountains, cut the head off a rattle snake, and done some light wood processing. It is a beast of knife. You can read about Joe's philosophy on knives, and there are knife specs, and some cool factory photos of the knife being made.

Review & test or PSA?????

Not sure what PSA is...Prostate Specific Antigen perhaps.
Anyways, I wasn't exactly sure where to post this since this is a new knife and there isn't a manufacturer section for Tops brand. Joseph Teti does indeed test this knife in an ongoing basis on Dual Survival. Since the knife isn't released yet, I thought we could talk about some of the testing done on the show. I would like to post an individual review of the knife, but I can't shell out the cash for it.

PSA = Public Service Announcement

Well now... I'm not sure how to proceed. Personally, I can't tell a real difference between this one and Mykel Hawks Hellion/Elite Hellion. To be honest though, this isn't my style of blade so I can't really appreciate it much.

In my opinion a Tanto-shaped blade is a very poor choice for being out in the woods...

No doubt, it will be build like a tank, TOPS tends to overbuild their blades (which is good), but for fine work?

I dont know.

Just my 0.02...

1095 High Carbon Alloy huh? Sounds like some really futurist stuff there, Joe.

Looks very mall ninja-ish. Pretty much my impression of the designer also after seiing the 1st new episode of D.S.--KV

(In my opinion a Tanto-shaped blade is a very poor choice for being out in the woods) thats why i think those mykel hawk knives would be horrible for survival.their blade shape is the last style i would choose for the woods...

Absolutely idiotic design. I'd rather use rock chips than that thing...they would work more efficiently.

Not particularly my cup of tea, but if you couldn't use any fairly simple blade efficiently in the woods I think that says more about you than the blade.

I think the word "Tactical" kills it.
As a prime survivor himself spoken on his web and ex-military, i think Joe could even survive with a small knife.

That Cody lundin can use any knife in the world, & he uses a simple wood handled mora.

While I have my on thoughts on the amount of usefulness of the design and can think of 30 some odd knives I'd rather use just off of the top of my head, several of them other TOPS knives...I'd definitely take this over the stone chips in a survival situation. Been there, done that, learned to reeeeeeally appreciate a sharpened piece of steel.

Yes, but his camera crew and prop master probably keep a supply on hand...
