Tops tahoma field knife modifications

So I have a double edged Tops TFK that I love. I ordered the single edge version originally but got the double edged version instead, but I wasnt complaining. Well I live in Ca and I use and plan to continue to use this blade alot, so I need to take it off the felony list. So instead of buying another that is single edged Im strongly considering making it my own by converting the spear point into a drop point. Kind of like on the kabar Bk 9. Any thoughts, advice, or skilled blade workers would be apprectiated.

I would use my dremel and then use stones to round it off and use the saved money on beer.. that's just me though!
