Tops Tracker Knife VS custom made

First of all, I want to say this, whatever I say here, it' s just my opinion.
The both knife of Tops Tracker and Custom made are wonderful.

1 Steel 1095 High Carbon Alloy Rc58 of course will rust if you don't take care of it. It's the same for 01. There's no stainless that never rust. Anykind steel less or not if you use everyday never rust. This is the point.

2 The major difference between them is the saw blade. The tops tracker one is not offset saw.But it's not useless.

3 The difference between them is also the price. Custom made in eBay is up to 1,500$. The tops in eBay is around 220$. You can get almost seven tops tracker knives with the price of one custom made. I understand the custom made knife collectors pay that much, but some people just for camping pay as much as collector?

4 The design or the geometry of knives, it looks like when you see the new person at the first time. Without talking just with the first sight, you will see if you like it or not. That is about knife, it is all about the first impression. Try to believe it.

5 More often you do something and better you become. Skill is more you use it, you will get more skill, That means after you sharpen the knife so many times, better you become. Nobody is not born with the skills.

6 The tracker. Extremely strong survival knife I can't find weak point.

7 Combat: despite so many masters of blade which say" tracker knife is too heavy for combat, I agree with them just if you're small man not big. Guys (MASTER OF BLADE) tracker knife it's not tomahawk.

8 If the real survival situation occurs and somebody carries the knife, It's not just lucky. It is a MIRACLE.

There is evidence a'plenty that there is a market for $1500 WSK's

This has all the hallmarks of a Rolex vs Timex and Sebenza vs Grip

1: Like you say, if you look after or use it each day it will not rust. In fact I hand rubbed an old Ontario SP6 down to mirror finish, did nothing to it to protect it and left it in a shed in its sheath for 6 months and its still rust free.

2: The Saw blade on a hand made like a Linger WSK could make the difference between packing another saw or feeling you dont need to.

3: As for the looks I hated it, but as you see the thought that went into it you begin to appreciate the design and thus start to like it.

4: Some are naturally better at it than others, no matter how much coaching I had I couldnt scuplt like Leonardo di Vinci.

5: It looks to me anyway, that it would make a good combat knife except for its weight. But if I wanted to bust open doors, crates and dig holes, it would be a decent choice.

To quote The Last Boy Scout .. Be prepared son, be prepared.

I am still wonder if you gonna bild one house with this knife? if so I suggest you the best of the best.... call your own custom knife and tell him to do the saw blade of diamond....in the tracker of course and then you can tell me the difference between the three of TRACER custom made saw set off... tracker from tops which is not set off and finally the one of diamond???????????
and later tell me which one is the best ok...........

are you still have the same feeling

I agree with temper. It's not a lumber mill your supposed to use it to cut small grooves in trees so your paracord won't slip up or down while you make a shelter. The same saw-type back is on the Ontario sp-8.

You can do that many times faster with the plain edge section of the blade and a couple of light chops, or baton it if you want extreme precision.

why I have to hunt with a spear when I can use a crossbow?
why I have to hunt with a crossbow when I can use a automatic rifle?

damm.guys.....is a survival knife and the saw in my first consern is
making
primitive traps and snares .in any primitive traps and snares , the
trigger system(which)
is the heart of the trap.

how many peaple today do that? or even experience that? and why?
why do primitive traps and snares when I can buy for (a few box)one set of modern snares and conibears traps too?

So many peaople talk crap about tops TRACKER saw blode. which according to me is very good for the notching score and so on is the same for the custum
made...
but both saw the will never replace a CHAIN SAW!?

I believe that the custum tracker( saw blade )is little better in the case I have to working bone... ! dispite which one I have and in survival I never do that task...with the only saw blade I have. even the set off saw does not maen indestructible..
on the top of this when the custom made onece was 400 box, today it is not the same price why?
you verified this in this forum just a few custum made ...{good job}because someonee think price makes the difference is not.
I AM NOT ATTACKING no one here but talk by experience..

even if you are millioner that does not mean you own better knife than others at least you know which kind of material is made and know exactly how to use it.The two thing come to everybody only by my experience, that means KNOWLEDGE.

Man this takes me back...this is one of the first threads That I responded to.
So the big sticking point for the TOPS Tracker seems to be the saw.
I don't know about you guys but when I cut firewood I really don't care if it's perfectlly sawed off or not.
Has anybody tried to mod a Trackers saw?Given the number of very talented bladesmiths here someone may have tried it some time.
It's kinda like compairing a Mustang to a shelby.they both do the same thing well it's just the style and price tag are different.
