I got one of these guys the other day. Originaly I tried to order the regular one, but they were sold out, so I opted for the XL. I thought it was going to be a lot bigger than it really was, but it is still a nice little daily user. The fit and finish on the knife is absolutly flawless.

The overall ergonomics of this knife are great, and because the way the handle is shaped you don't have to worry about hitting your knuckles on the cutting surface. The blade stays well below the handle. There is a white spacer between the grey micarta handles and the black coated blade. The blade is made out of 1095 carbon steel. I don't have any experience with this steel and havn't cut anything with this knife yet, so I can't report on its performance, however I am sure there are plenty of articles on it around here. The overall length is 9 1/2" and the blade is 3 1/2". The sheath is kydex, and has a rotatable spring steel clip. I wish that there was an option to put the clip on the opposite side to make the knife ready for carry on the left side. I am sure you can have a nice sheath made for it though. In conclusion I would reccomend this knife for anyone looking for a small-medium sized fixed blade, that is concealable and affordable. I paid about $100.00 for it, and it was worth it.

1095 steel is popular for military/survival knives because it is easy to sharpen.
Manufacturers tend to use it because it is so cheap. It is a decent general purpose steel though.

For that knife it is solid if the knife is a heavy user, however the grind would be better if it was high flat.

More durable and better cutting efficiency.

You like the steel ridges on the grip?
