Was told about this little light from another forum. The Torch Light C78. I was looking for a small AA light that was capable of zooming from flood to throw. The price was great at $8.99 shipped. Here's the specs:

Comes with a cheapish case, but, good enough:
The light itself:
Head extends (slides) out for throw:
My camera doesn't work well for night shots, but here it is on my shed with the flood setting:
And here it is set on throw. Strange shape, but really works well:
Closer on my tree:
The throw on this little thing is amazing. I could easily see it on a tree from about 15 feet in the daylight. At night, it's easy to see the beam, shining it up in the sky. The only real drawback I see, is the cheapy on/off button on the back. Not sure how long it will last, but for $9, who really cares?
