Torn on my next Spyderco purchase

I realize this kind of thread has been done to death, but I'm kind of stumped.

I've owned quite a few Spydercos, including the Delica, both versions of the Caly 3, Sage 1, the FRN and CF Native, and the PPT. I wasn't thrilled with the Sage when I owned one, but the more I look at it the more I regret selling it off.

I've considered the Gayle Bradley, a Paramilitary, the Superleaf, picking up a 2nd Sage 1 or the Sage 2, and even holding out for the Yojimbo 2.

My PPT is in my pocket every day, but it's time for a change, and I can't decide if I want a lighter knife of a similar size (Sage 1) or another heavy workhorse like the PPT.

Anyone else share my dilemma? What would you pick, and why?

The Para II is my all time favorite but right behind it is the Gayle Bradley. Either knife would be a good choice.

The only thing holding me back on the Gayle Bradley is the blade seems HUGE compared to the PPT, because it lacks a choil. I'd prefer the handle scales over the Para 2 though.

Go toa local knife store that has them in stock and check them out. In SoCal there are a bunch of knife stores.

I've owned both, and the difference isn't that big. If the PPT's blade size is a good one for you, the Gayle Bradley's very likely will be as well.

I'd have to recommend this as well. If you have the chance to handle your options before buying, I say go for it.

I have the PPT and you are quite correct in it being a very handy knife to carry, it is my dress-up knife when I wear a suit. But I have a Gayle Bradley coming on Wednesday and have no doubt that it will be a great piece of cutlery. All I have read has been positive about this knife. So go with the GB for everyday, and the PPT for dressup!! Problem solved.

Good idea. Plaza Cutlery is my usual go-to, but they're slow on stocking newer models for some reason.

It is really nice to see what they have on hand, including Strider, CR and a few others I'd probably never get to play with otherwise.
