Recommendation? Torx Bit Sizes For Folders

Hello All, It's hard to find the screw head info, online, in some cases. Several YouTube knife channels have disassembly videos, which helps in some cases. I have lots of bit drivers, and plan to buy two paks of Torx bits, as I have none. I know that T6 and T8 are common, on modern folders. What other sizes might I need, for future knife acquirements? T10, I suspect, but what about those in between sizes, like T7 and T9? The online Wiha distributer, here in Canada, charges $16.91 CAD minimum, for shipping, so I want to buy all in one shot. Thanks, BF

I believe the product code is 79242. T5-T30, comes with a universal 1/4” driver

Thanks, AW, but I'm just going to buy just bits, as I want two of each size......T6, T8, and T10, for sure.

Have you ever had to use T5, T7, or T9 on a folder? Thanks.

I have the same set as awjones awjones . I got mine off the Bezos site.

Are you are close to a Lowes or Home Depot? They offer a decent assortment of tools in store and online. You might find Wiha, SK tools, Gearwrench, and Wera on the websites too.

Maybe even Canadian tire?

6, 8, 10 will get the bulk of the work done.

Just a CT near me, here on the South Shore of NS. I'll check out HD online. I'm still trying to avoid crowds, due to my health. Thanks
gazz :)

Follow up: Lowe's and HD only offer T10 and larger, online. For deck screws, etc., I suppose. CT doesn't list the sizes....

Reawakening this old thread. I just grabbed this torx bit set and mini ratchet from Amazon (already had the micro driver), because too many times I can’t budge a screw with the micro driver. I have one of these mini drivers in my garage tool box with a crapload of hex bits, and it’s a nice solid-feeling little piece that lets you apply a whole lot more torque than a screw type driver, especially the tiny ones we usually get for knife repairs. I just used to new one to tighten the pivot screw on my Buck Sprint Ops, and it was perfect for the job.
