I was looking at my Speed Bump today, and I'm starting to notice some lint buildup around the edges. I recall from previous threads that something or other with torx in the name is what you use to disassemble a kershaw, it certainly isn't flathead, phillips, or a hex!

anyway, what sizes should I get (I also have an offset and a RAM on the way) and where do I go? Home depot?

EDIT: I hear that mil-tec grease/lube/whatever is good as well. where can this be obtained? If I go to home depot, is there a good lube that can be recommended by someone here?

they are called torx tools. i do believe the sizes are #6 and #8. home depot or lowes are good places to get em, or just order one from kershaw

There a great set from... I think Husky... which is a driver and all the bit sizes you could need for working with the torx screws you find on production folders. I think it's like $5. I got mine at Home Depot.

I bought a changeable bit screwdriver from Fry's that has the Torx bits you require as well as std. and phillips bits. OSH also has a similar driver for about $7.00; usually stocked near the checkout stand. It's a real handy tool.

The lube you refer to is Militec-1 ("Militec dash one"). Google is your friend. Go to Google.com and search for Militec-1. You will find several sources, including the manufacturer (or distributor). Go to the Militec-1 website and politely ask them to send you samples of their liquid ("oil") and their grease. I think they'll still do that for you. Militec-1 is good stuff. Great quantities of it has been used on U.S. weapons in the war zone over the past five years.
