howdy guys, looking to do work on my knifes, but don't have a proper torx set! been using a ace hardware set thats real old and the tips are out of shape,my question is what is a quality torx set with T-5 trough T-10 sizes that wood last me a lifetime! around $50.what are you using and whats the name,lots of thanks.:o

Wera or Wiha are the best.

And KC Tool currently has them on sale. ;

I got both screwdriver and L-key formats. But I use the screwdrivers in T6, T8, and T10 most.

Definitely Wiha their stuff is top notch I personally like the screwdriver type ones.

I have an impact/driver set, and I just stick all the bits in my 7in1 screwdriver. I also have a "precision driver set" that I got off ebay or Amazon. Bulldog is the brand. It's ctappy, but has done many jobs over the last year or so. I'd recommend going with bits vs full handled torx drivers. Tips can always be replaced.

I'd recommend just heading to some Ace hardware or sears and pick up a bit/driver set. Probably cheaper than online, and you get it asap. Even an auto parts store has your back.

If you truly want some "lifetime" tools, next time you see a matco or snapon truck outside a mechanic shop, hit them up. Actually got my first decent knife of one of those trucks. And years after I lost it, realized how cool it was that i had it =( it was a #1 of xxx composite edge leek..which I didn't appreciate back then.

If you can't afford Wiha's, go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy the Husky torx driver. Comes with six different size tips and it's good quality

I've had a lot of garbage torx sets that have dissapointed me over the years. One day I had enough of the bits twisting when trying to unscrew a stubborn pocket clip screw. I did some research and decided to go with a Wiha set and it is a fantastic set. I would highly recommend you look for a Wiha set that has the sizes you want.

my thanks to all,picked up a wiha set at USA.knifemaker along with some micrata linen scales.:)

I use Craftsman.

I second that. The torx drivers I have are sold singly. I have a couple of T-6 and T-8 drivers. Last a pretty good time and if they do break a trip to Sears and I get them replaced with no hassle.
