Hey Experts!

I am going to change the scales on my mini grip, and need to buy some torx (sp) wrenches. Does anyone know what sizes I need? Thanks bunches,
Josh

Excellent. Now that I stripped some of my screws (yes I am a DUMBASS), where can I get replacement screws? Thanks,
Josh

I don't know what will happen, but the best source is Benchmade. Their customer service is good - I'd give them a call before I started looking elsewhere. If they say yes, you 'll get the right screw for no cost. If they say no, then probably places like KnifeKits.com are your source, but you'll need to figure out thread pitch.

Doing this:

T10 for the pivot (T9 works fine too); T6 for the other screws.

Can lead to this:

Do not ever use the wrong size wrench or you will end up stripping out the screw head. If you use a wrench that is too small, like a T9 instead of the correct T10, then you are putting the force on the thin tips of the screw head and will twist out the metal and strip the head. I bet using the wrong size wrench accounts for a major percent of stripped screws in knives which are small and somewhat delicate. Not trying to be a jerk, just trying to save some headaches.

Not jerky at all...I am the jerk for being a dumbass. Problem was, I had a cheap T6 driver and didn't seat it all the way. Stupid on both ends. Now I have stripped screws and a torques torx wrench!
