torx wrenches

I'd guess T10, but there's a chance it's a T8. And that's just the pivot. The other ones in the handle are usually T6s.

thanks, will be looking for some 10's and 6's on ebay
Instead of eBay, you may want to check out these threads--specifically the ones at Home Depot. Don't know if you're near a Home Depot, but this set will give you all of them instead of having to look for specific sizes.

BM's balisongs use 8 and 6. Without having one in my hand, I'd have to guess an 8.

The Husky set is really a nice one. It certainly does come in handy to have them all in a jewler's screwdriver type format.

If you don't have a Home Depot, Sears can fix you up. they have individual Torx drivers (if what you need is in stock) from T6 up, at $3 to $4 each depending on the handle. They sometimes have a set of all the Torx drivers and a bunch of others - Phillips, etc - in a pouch for about half the price of the individual pieces.

For $12 they have a very nice Craftsman set, with a extension handle and bits T5, T6, T7, T8, T10, T15, and Phillips 1, 0, and 00 plus standard small slotted screwdrivers 2mm, 3mm, and 3.5mm.

This is the Craftsman Magnetic 12 in 1 Precision Screwdriver, item 947484. And as a Craftsman hand tool, if you ever bugger it up you can just walk it into any Sears and they'll hand you a new one, no mailing, etc. I just picked one up and it's pretty tasty. I can't directly compare it to the Husky, I haven't got a Home depot within fifty miles.

That link doesn't seem to come up with the search thread listing for me.

Here's a thread on the Home Depot's own brand Husky Torx set for under $6 - including an "identi-kit finder" later on (page 2) in the thread :D

Torx driver set @ Home Depot

The Husky set comes with T4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and 15... probably all one needs for knives.

Note: I have knives that use T9 and T8 for the pivot Torx.

My local Canadian Home Depot doesn't carry that Husky set, nor does the Sears canada site list the Craftsman set, but Home Depot does have a "Fuller Precision Screwdriver Set" for $12.88CDN that includes the appropriate Torx drivers. SKU# 118-005

WIHA tools is a great place to get a quality set of torx drivers
Ahhhhh Tools!!! My other addiction.
I totally agree about the WIHAS.
They make the very best torx and allen tools(They make killer pliers too as does KNIPEX). We had complete Snap-on roll-away toolsets where I used to work, right down to their small allens and torx. They were nice to be sure but... Wihas are head and shoulders over those Snap-on Allens and Torx.

Here's another tip if your into killer hand tools(ratchets sockets etc):
Take a look at Facom. IMO, Nicer than Snap-on and 1/3 the price!

wow, thanks for all the info guys, there is a home depot near by, so will be going there tomorrow...i did check ebay, i would have to buy 2 sets to use for knives, thanks again!

Well, it's for an AFCK. Besides a 40T and 43MC, I have a 710HS and even a tiny little 335D2, and the pivot pins on both (even the tiny 335) are T10.
