the other night my comes to me and tells me, gess what i got a new toster. i was thinking ok what ever if you need a toster thats fine. she then tells me, you know what we never use the toster oven so we should just throu it away. you should have seen the light bulb above my head, i say we probabley could do that but i might need it for somthing. now the wuestion is this, because the elements are so close to the rack sould i put a steel pipe inside to protect from the radited black body heat. i know sometimes i was having problems whit the oven getting the edge of my blades to hot. i have never used a toster oven so just looking for some tips. also how acurate is the temp control on these toster ovens.

I use a toaster oven in my shop...I have an old aluminum heat sink that I use for a blade rack....before I got it I used a soft fire brick that I took a hacksaw blade and cut slots for the blades to rest in. Hope this gives you some ideas.

im an electronic repair tec, so heat sinks are not a problem. ill see what i can dig up.

You'll want to use an external temperature measuring device.
The temp controls are usually inaccurate in ovens.
I would use a temp controller to monitor/control the temp, unless the internal control will keep a constant temp, then I'd just monitor it.
