What we have here is total lack of willpower. Told myself I was going to limit my CRK collection to small Sebenzas and Mnandis. Sold off all of my larges .... except for a large snakewood/raindrop ... and was quite content. That is .... until my perpetual search for a bloodwood/Damascus Mnandi kept leading me to this large 21 bloodwood/ladder. I tried .... I mean really tried to pass it up. In the end, however, my willpower caved. Beautiful tone to the wood and combined with the ladder Damascus and double thumb studs ... I was in love.

Now if this were not enough, you will have to stay tuned. After this one arrived today, I was so happy with it that I could not resist ordering a small bloodwood Sebenza (while I could still find one). No Damascus on this one .... but hoping that the wood is just as soothing as on this large! NOW .... if I could ONLY find a Mnandi in bloodwood (with a Damascus blade, of course) .....! The search continues!

My will power for CRK is virtually nil.......!!! The only thing that keeps me from getting more is the all mighty dollar.....!!!

Thanks everyone. Still can't get over how much I love the tone/grain of the wood combined with the blade. Trust me, it did not look this good in the listing photo. But ... it was the only Bloodwood/Damascus I could find. Glad I just went with it. I will post pics comparing the small with this one when it gets here .... only wish that it, too, had a Damascus blade!

Bad Guy, bad guy!!
You must have more spine!!

So we can absolve you if
1. you photograph mnandi and sebenza together
2. put both in an envelope and send to my address

Okay ...... part two! The small arrived today. Grain is not quite as nice as the large (IMO) .... but still love it. Color is a little deeper red than the large as well. Since there are not very many bloodwoods to be had (at this time), glad I didn't think too long about it.

And here is the "dynamic duo" ....

Now ..... if I could only find someone to let go of a bloodwood/Damascus Mnandi! Ahhhhh .... a trifecta!

Those are amazing and the pics as well.

Dennis, do you think you can make some time to give Dave and I lessons on how to take amazing pictures?...

Did you happen to get that at KSF? If so I had that one in my cart and almost pulled the trigger on it but decided on the Madagascar Rosewood instead. It is a nice looking blade congrats.

Yup ..... could only find two small bloodwoods at the sources I normally check. This one came from KSF. The other one (which still seems to be available) is over at another BF paid dealer .... Only Fine Knives. Was really hoping I could find a small with Damascus .... but zilch. For me, Damascus really complements the color tone of the bloodwood very nicely.
