Just heard from another site the Indian Larry died. He was pulling one of his bike surfing stunts and ate it - smashing his head pretty bad. He was technically brain dead and died while in a coma. :(

Sad. He built some nice Old School. There will be many adding a new RIP patch on their rag in his memory, and he will not be forgotten.

The way I approached riding was to realize that every time that bike left the garage, I had to be willing to have that be my last day. The joy of riding was worth the large chance. We had some very close calls,, as I liked to ride hard on mountain curves. At least he wasn't taken out unawares by a four-wheeler. They and rider boozing are the greatest danger.

Indian Larry died doing what he wanted to do. Rest In Peace, Bro!

Amen....It's always best to go on your terms! I can't understand people who want to die in bed.

Yeah, he had the accident not 30 min from where I work.....

He was doing what he loved!

Back in the day it was Indian Larry, Arlen Ness, and Ed Roth. These guys were old school cool way before Jesse James and the rest we see today.

RIP, Larry.

Oh, I don't know about that, Peter! :)

My real ambition is to be shot dead at 95 by the irate father of an 18 year old girl I'm in bed with!!! Personally, I must say, under those circumstances, dying in bed would be acceptable, wouldn't you?? :D

Gotta admidt...that's an acceptable exception to the rule :D

Ya, very sad about Indian Larry.

My brothers band has been playing biker events from NJ to ME and has met and talked with Indian Larry several times, me brother said that Larry was a hell of a nice guy, and as previously mentioned, Indian Larry built from the "Old School", with fantastic results. It is tragic to loose someone like that, but, as Fitzo said , "he died doing what he wanted to do."

In June, one of my friends, for over 30 years, died in a bike wreak. In August, 2 other friends, also for over 30 years, of mine went down, one very seriously injured, the other hurt his pride (and ride) more than himself. I think alcohol was involved in all of these events.

Like, I've been saying for years , "Ya ride your bike, ya take your chances."

Does anyone have his address - I'd like to send a card to his family.

His shop is in Brooklyn, I believe. It will continue running, and I imagine you can get the shop address through information, or the internet.
