I just bought my friend a Case small Texas Jack with amber bone for his birthday. Now I want one. I'm more of a modern knife guy for EDC, but definitely have fallen in love with this one. I think I'll have to start my Case collection

Start being the operative word. Case makes a lot of good knives....be sure to check out some other manufacturers too...

Understandable! Case's Small Texas Jack is a great pattern.

Er, you did give your friend his birthday present, right? ;)

I have a couple Victorinox blades as users. When I buy Case knives it will be as collectibles

What a nice friend. Great choice!
I don't have one yet but it's on my short list. There is a local Case dealer going out business that I need to check out.

Not counting my Bose collab Coffin Jack, the Small Texas Jack is probably my favourite Case knife to date...

Love my Cases, almost always carrying at least one. For edc, my most picked has got the be the amber bone medium stockman in CV. It's the perfect compliment to a medium sized modern folder (I carry a tenacious).

I like the Stockman. It was a tough choice between the Jack and the Stockman

I've always been a modern folder guy myself and still do prefer a modern with pocket clip when I'll be needing a knife to open close one handed but I got bit by the traditional bug a few months ago and haven't bought or even looked at modern folders since. I have all the moderns I'll ever need and then some but my traditional collection will continue to grow that's for sure. Just wait until you try out a GEC knife. That's when I really got hooked on traditional knives.

Traditional knives, being generally smaller than the modern one-handers, make it easy to carry a bunch of them at once! ;)

Lol. Today at work I had a Spyderco Delica and Endura, as well a the Case Jack (to show off), a Leatherman Wingma, a Vic Sentry? (one single blade) as a loaner, and a Vic Classic on my keychain. And my box cutters.

I have a problem...

Yes, YOU do have a problem. But it's a problem lots of us have. A good problem!
