It is just about knife ordering time, so I went through the collection trying to decide what to add. Every other manufacturer came up short when compared to Emerson. All of my other 'sacred cows' have been tipped and I just can't buy them anymore. Emersons are just that good. I never thought that I would find myself at this point, but there it is.

Anyway, to celebrate my new direction, I decided to order a CQC13 - SF. :D

Great choice! The 13 has the best handle I've ever tried and I just love that needle-like tip

A.P.F. Those are the exact words/thoughts that I also feel, that's SCARY! Sure do like the looks of that 13, that's not a good thing for this cowboy.

Thanks, guys! Yup, I am really looking forward to this one, well, all of them actually.

@ DC - I think that Jay enjoys it entirely too much when I call in another Emerson order. I think he knew that I would find that Emerson is the best.

And on that note, yesterday afternoon while sipping on my Drambuie, I was discussing with my wife, just why I preferred Emersons to all the rest. I told her that I believe that a knife takes on the 'spirit' of it's designer and maker(s). I mentioned that Emerson knives were entirely made in the States, from US parts and assembled in the US too. I suggested that it was the 'hands on' assembly that gave the knife a feeling of being 'crafted', rather than thrown together on an overseas production line like many of the others. Put simply, an Emerson knife has a feel of old world craftsmanship and that the people who make them take pride in their product.

My other knives just don't feel the same any more and many will find themselves on the auction block. Oh well, as I have said before, better late than never. :D

Drambuie ? You dont sip that stuff, you light it on fire and hammer it back :p

You just gave me flash backs of my foggy, student days

HAZE, Drambuie, reminds me of my Dad. He was neither a drinker or smoker, but every Christmas eve, he would have a wee shot of the mother land

A.P.F. re Emerson, that's what I like about you, your able to put down in print, what I'm thinking :p Seems my creative thinking has gone south, since the family doctor prescribed meds.
I also have a bakers dozen or three of nib knives to clear out, just need to figure out whats the best way of selling them. We do have a Canadian sell/trade forum here, but it doesn't see very much action.

Who else would make a whiskey liqueur but us crazy Scots :p

It a bit sweet for me but no a bad wee dram non the less :)

Yep, it is tough stuff to waste away on,maybe that's why me dad wasn't worried about us boyz drinking it up on him. But he sure loved to push the oatmeal on us 7 days a week

Just a wee deoch an doris, just a wee drop, that's all.
Just a wee deoch an doris afore ye gang awa.
There's a wee wifie waitin' in a wee but an ben.
If you can say, "It's a braw bricht moonlicht nicht",
Then yer a'richt, ye ken.

LOL, You would be surprised how many people still actually talk like that.

I have some what of a watered down accent now having lived away from home for so
long but when I get back home i'm like a chameleon.... with accents :D

If you want to sell to Canada, you could try CanadianGunNutz.com, as they have a seperate knife sales forum. I plan on selling down south, to take advantage of the more valuable US dollar.

As for creative thinking, the Drambuie definitely helps. :)

I was just thinking, my mothers maiden name was Buie maybe all I need is the Dram
